Current Reads

Thanksgiving has come and gone... And so has Black Friday and Cyber Monday which I was happy to be able to get $50 off the new Kindle Fire HDX 7". I can't wait. It is supposed to be in the mail today.

I still plan to use my original Kindle and definitely share the E-readers I have with my husband. He prefers the original Kindle so I hope he kind of starts grabbing books on that and keeps reading also.

I did also have the chance to finish a great book, "Elanor and Park" by Rainbow Rowell.

Definitely a great book. I don't want to give away any spoilers but I thought it was very cute. The romance was great, if not a bit cheesy at times.

The one "twist" or what not was actually something I imagined from the first time the writing appeared on the outside cover of Elanor's book.

I thought the whole things was very realistic in terms of how people feel about their high school relationships and although I am 25 and way past that stage in my life I could definitely relate to the romance, not the bad stuff that happened but still, very relevant to the reader.

Anyways, currently I am reading "Scarlet" by Marissa Meyer, which is the sequel to "Cinder."

It is a fairy tale retelling and its an awesome futuristic sci-fi take on the whole fairy tale thing and it has spaceships and cyborgs and alien races from the moon and its pretty kick ass. About 70 pages in and really keeping a good pace. A quick easy and fun read.
