My Review:
Hot damn this was amazing. Seriously. This group of bad ass female characters are unlike anything I have ever read in a comic book before.
First off, Image Comics= the kitties titties.
Seriously, they put out amazing stuff.
On to the story line. This follows a group of 4 female friends in an adventuring group who basically protect this city from outside magical beings while also destroying parts of the city with sex and drunken debauchery.
Each character has her own personal issues and personality that she brings to the story. We have a lesbian, a girl who likes the guard who is always getting her in trouble, someone struggling with family, and a girl who is confused about her purpose and religion.
Such a broad range that there is literally someone for everyone to relate to. I loved that! Plus, the title isn't lying...there is so much SASS I felt like acting sassier just by reading it.
The art was bright and fantastic and the costumes and look of the characters was so great and really lent something to the understanding of their characters.
This just truly made me happy and I couldn't stop smiling when reading it.
If you are looking for something that is very fun and feminist but also would be a good read for a guy with a sense of humor, I definitely suggest picking it up and giving it a try.
I think you would be hard pressed to find someone who would be disappointed in it. It's just too lighthearted and fun to not love.
